Housekeepers WantedFounded in 1966, Friendship offers diverse senior living accommodations, award-winning care, new and innovative services, as well as specialized rehab and therapy, to over 1,500 residents and patients each day. With four campuses, the earliest dating back to 1919, Friendship has grown to offer the full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, home care, outpatient therapy, inpatient rehab, long-term care and Alzheimer's and memory care. As a non-profit, Friendship provides a caring community to serve a wide-range of residents including those with limited financial means.Friendship is looking for Housekeepers to join our Friendship Health and Rehab South team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of facility and resident areas.Pay Rate: $15.00 per hourShifts Available:Full Time: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, working every other weekendFull Time: 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm, working every other weekendRoles & Responsibilities:Wash beds, mattresses, and make unoccupied bedsClean medical equipment to include wheelchairs and stretchersClean dayrooms; replace table linens and clean the floor after each mealWill also be working in laundryRemove soiled linens and replace with clean; provide extra linens as requestedPrepare hampers daily for use with soiled linens and incontinent productsPrepare resident clothing for laundry pick up; after cleaning, place clothes back in the residents closetQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentHousekeeping experience preferredKnowledge and understanding of SDS manuals, infectious/biohazard waste and environmental protocolsThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
