This position performs routine and detailed cleaning tasks to ensure safe, welcoming spaces for occupants, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and floor careConduct high dusting and detailed cleaning of surfaces, fixtures, and common areasEmpty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste materialsFollow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety protocolsSafely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment according to training and guidelinesMaintain organized and properly stocked cleaning supply and equipment storage areasOperate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleanersCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding cleaning needs or concernsSupport a safe and professional work environment at all timesPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methodsAbility to operate standard custodial cleaning equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standardsReliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred:Previous custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in a medical or professional settingWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periodsRegular exposure to cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipmentAbility to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat and coldPhysical stamina to perform routine and strenuous cleaning tasksScheduleMonday through FridayHours will vary: On-CallWhy Join This Team?A mission-driven culture dedicated to economic advancement and community impactGuided by strong NATIVE values and tribal-owned purposeCareer stability and opportunities across diverse industriesA collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growthOur Commitment to DiversityHo-Chunk, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
