Job description
HousekeeperUnder direction of the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor, performs general cleaning throughout the facility. • Cleans floors, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing. • Cleans and stocks bathrooms. • Dusts areas that contain furniture, such as offices. • Cleans windows.Desirable: At least one-year experience in a housekeeping or janitorial position. Knowledge of safe work practices, general cleaning procedures. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work in a team atmosphere. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Skill to operate radio devices. Operate equipment, scrubbers (riding and walk behind), sweepers (riding), vacuums, etc.Position requires walking and standing for most of the shift; may be subject to adverse conditions; may be required to work with hazardous substances; irregular hours may be required.
