Housekeeper OpportunitySt. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Housekeeper to join our Grant County Environmental Services Team. Shift/Hours: PRN, Second Shift Position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining patient and non-patient areas within the hospital. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.Job Description:The best career is right here.Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas in order to provide a clean and safe environment for the patients, visitors and staff of the hospital.Completes detailed cleaning duties (high dusting, the cleaning of blinds, etc.) on a weekly basis or upon discharge/transfer of a patient in order to obtain high results on quality assurance inspections as well as patient satisfactionCleans, sanitizes and deodorizes restrooms to ensure that they meet quality expectations.Removes trash from the areas being cleaned to a central location to facilitate the removal of trash from the building.Attends in-service programs, meetings and completes Net Learning modules as required by the hospital.All associates shall follow the applicable safety steps required to perform their duties to ensure safety for themselves and their patients, and be in compliance with the hospital, state, and federal safety standards. Examples of such steps may include: performing proper safety procedures and precautions; reporting safety concerns and incidents; and using correct lifting techniques.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the applicable principles of growth and development over the life span of those they serve.Performs other duties as assigned.Education, Credentials, Licenses:Ability to read and writeSpecialized Knowledge:Ability to do heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.Kind and Length of Experience:No previous experience requiredFLSA Status:Non-ExemptRight Career.
