Housekeeping Assistant ManagerKalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective daily operations relating to the housekeeping department and will administer the supervision of all housekeeping staff.As part of our team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and evaluate staff work performance on an on-going basis, praises and disciplines staff as appropriate.Attend management and department meetings and communicates with staff on all shifts.Resolve guest complaints that will encourage repeat visits to the resort.Build team environment and group morale.Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with all associates.Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints, comment cards, letters and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.Manage the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department; schedule associates to ensure proper coverage.Ensure associates are given the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms/suites and public areas to ensure everything is clean and in good repair.What We're Looking ForBackground consisting of 4 years of previous housekeeping supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel/resort with over 500 rooms.Broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a large volume hotel/resort.High School diploma or equivalent experience required.Four-year college degree preferred but not required.Ability to understand and effectively utilize above average computer equipment and applications, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Property or Lodging Management Systems (Visual One).Must be able to efficiently process and export data from LMS, Time/Attendance and other property systems.Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful.A Sampling of Our BenefitsOur team enjoys a comprehensive benefits package, including:Career growth opportunities with promotion from within401(k) matching, paid time off, and holiday compensationHealth, dental, and vision coverage for full-time associatesEmployee appreciation events, discounts, and perks at all resortsEducation assistance programs to help advance your careerBe Part of Something ExtraordinaryAt Kalahari, we believe the best leaders Lead with Love—because love builds trust, inspires growth, and creates experiences that last a lifetime.
