Housekeeping Assistant On CallThe primary purpose of your job is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Housekeeping and Laundry Services Leader or the Nursing Home Administrator to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, comfortable, safe and sanitary manner.1. Coordinate daily housekeeping assignments to meet resident need and in conjunction with the needs/schedules of other facility departments and agencies2. Use personal protective equipment and follow infection control and Universal precautions policies and procedures3. Assist with resident meal service as needed4. Attend required in-services and educational programs5. Report all accidents/incidents promptly per facility policy6. Participate in organizational committees as interested/assigned7. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language8. Must have the ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition9. Must possess the ability to function independently and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and with the general public10.Assist in orienting new employees to the department, its policies and procedures
