Housekeeping AttendantPrimary Location Los Angeles, California Facility Name West Los Angeles Medical Center Employee Status: Regular Worker Location: Onsite Schedule Call-in/On-Call Scheduled Weekly Hours: 1 Shift Day Salary $25.35 - $28.09 / hourJob Summary: Under general supervision, cleans & maintains assigned areas & performs a variety of environmental service duties in & around the medical center in order to maintain a neat, orderly, sanitary, & safe environment.Essential Responsibilities:Upholds KPs Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities & applicable state, federal & local lawsCleans equipment, surgical areas, storage areas, furniture & bedsCleans spills & flooded areasDeep cleans, sanitizes rooms, mattresses, vents, & bathroomsOperates electrical cleaning equipmentStrips, cleans, & polishes floor & wall surfaces vacuum carpet areasDilutes cleaning solutionsCollects & disposes of waste including bio-hazardous medical waste according to Policies & Procedures, ensures bio-hazardous waste is stored & locked in approved areasCoordinates housekeeping functions w/ other departmentsMay perform other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Experience N/A - Ability to communicate & follow directions in English - Moderate to heavy lifting ability requiredEducation N/ALicense, Certification, Registration N/AAdditional Requirements:One (1) year of experience in environmental services department in an acute care setting preferredExperience within Environmental Services in a Medical Center environment preferredHS Diploma/GED preferredNotes:This is an on call position, days and hours may vary.Area Assignment: On call floater, variable days and rotating weekend schedule, must meet union contract scheduling agreements
