Environmental Services TechnicianWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Technician to join our hospital team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment through cleaning, disinfecting, and supporting daily operations throughout the facility.What you will do:Clean and disinfect patient rooms and assigned areas following infection prevention standardsFollow PPE guidelines and healthcare safety protocolsWork safely in patient care areas requiring different levels of isolation precautions, including contact, droplet, and airborne precautionsSafely clean areas where exposure to bodily fluids and other healthcare-related materials may occur while following established safety proceduresPerform floor care, window and wall cleaning, waste removal, linen transport, and other housekeeping dutiesMaintain organized supply areas and support department needsParticipate in team huddles, training, and continuous improvement effortsProvide excellent service while demonstrating compassion and respect for patients, families, and coworkersWhat we are looking for:Candidates who demonstrate stability and longevity in previous roles are highly valued, as we are looking for team members who are committed to building a long-term career with DeaconessPrevious housekeeping experience is a plus, but not requiredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
