Housekeeping Position At Salem Va HotelThe Housekeeping position at the Salem VA Hotel, managed by VP Management, is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and common areas. This position offers a full-time and part time individual contributor role in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Salem, Virginia.Responsibilities:Clean and maintain guest rooms and suites, including changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfacesRestock and replenish amenities such as towels, toiletries, and other suppliesFollow established cleaning procedures and room inspection guidelinesReport any maintenance or repair needs to managementClean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and public restroomsEnsure all equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintainedMaintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests and coworkersAdhere to all safety guidelines and proceduresOther duties as assigned by managementRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning proceduresKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning productsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work weekends and holidays as neededMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeMust have reliable transportation to and from workEEOC Statement: VP Management is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees.
