Houseperson | Sheraton OceanfrontVirginia Beach, VAOverviewSalary Range $15.00 Hourly Job Shift Any Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category Hospitality - HotelDescriptionHouseperson – Sheraton Virginia Beach OceanfrontPosition OverviewJob Title: Houseperson (HSKP)Location: 3501 Atlantic AveSchedule: Seasonal, must be available on weekends and holidaysWork Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalkSummary: The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring and work areas. Cleaning rooms includes duties such as changing bed linens and emptying trash as well as vacuuming carpets and dusting furniture. This person assists room attendants with supplies and linens.Job Functions:Strip rooms - remove bed linens, terry, and trash.Cleans hallways, corridors, elevators, stairways, ice rooms, trash areas, and linen closets.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners.Dusts fixtures, frames, and equipment.Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebasketsTransports trash and waste to the disposal area.Stocks and supplies delivered.Replaces light bulbs.Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.Reports on working for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.Performs other related duties as required.We Live by Our "TOP" Values:T – TEAM UP: Collaborate, support others, and stay golden O – OWN IT: Take pride, stay accountable, and never stop learning P – PASSIONATELY SERVE: Be positive, show you care, and create memorable experiencesWe're looking for team players who embody these values every day.QualificationsGeneral Education High School GED RequiredAble to communicate in English verbal and written.Previous experience in a similar role preferred.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Why Work with Us?Competitive Pay Shamin Perks – Save on gym memberships, movie tickets, amusement parks, rental cars, and more $200 Referral Bonus after your referral completes 30 days Work with an oceanfront view in a fun, fast-paced restaurantNote: This may be a seasonal or part-time position.
