About the Role
This opportunity is with a global technology-driven organization focused on solving complex computational and data challenges. The team operates within a high-performance infrastructure environment, supporting large-scale research and analytics workloads.
As an HPC Storage Engineer, you will be part of a specialized team responsible for managing and scaling a multi-petabyte storage platform that underpins mission-critical compute environments. This role involves hands-on engineering, automation, and collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale storage systems optimized for high-performance computing workloads
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices to automate and standardize storage provisioning and management
Collaborate with internal engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize workflows for storage efficiency
Act as a technical lead on storage-related initiatives, contributing expertise across file, block, and object storage technologies
Interface with external vendors and partners to evaluate and integrate new storage solutions
Participate in performance benchmarking, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategy development
Support internal users by streamlining data workflows and improving access to storage resources
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and best practices for operational consistency and knowledge sharing
Ideal Candidate Profile
Demonstrated experience managing high-performance or clustered file systems at scale
Deep understanding of various storage architectures and protocols, including file, block, and object storage
Familiarity with modern scale-out platforms such as Isilon/PowerScale or Vast Data
Strong scripting and automation skills, preferably with Python and DevOps tools
Experience working in ticketing systems and agile environments (e.g., JIRA)
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, collaborative mindset
Passion for infrastructure engineering, hardware, and emerging technologies
Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
