HR Support SpecialistYour job is to keep hiring actions, performance appraisals, records and routine HR inquiries organized and moving so that Government staff can focus on decisions.What you'll do:Track recruitment and hiring actions, billet updates and performance appraisal milestones in FedHR, USAStaffing and ePerformanceBuild and maintain trackers, status reports and dashboards in Excel, SharePoint and Power BIManage the Civilian Resource Coordinator's SharePoint site and digital records so job aids, templates and files stay current and easy to findAnswer routine HR questions from base leadership using approved guidance, and route policy or employee relations issues to the right Government officialCoordinate meetings, trainings and briefings across bases over Teams and email, and draft correspondence, agendas and briefing materialsPrepare weekly activity reports and recurring compliance reports for Government reviewRequired:An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience, in HR support, administrative support, business administration or program analysisStrong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and OneDriveClear writing and the ability to coordinate with people at many locations and levels of leadershipAbility to pass a Tier 1 federal background investigation and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)Ability to start on-site in Norfolk on September 30, 2026Preferred:Hands-on experience with FedHR, USAStaffing or ePerformanceExperience supporting federal civilian, military or Coast Guard personnel programsExperience maintaining SharePoint sites or building Power BI reports
