Job description
HR AssistantThe HR Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support across the employee lifecycle, from hiring through offboarding. The role maintains accurate employee records, coordinates recruiting logistics, and is the first point of contact for employee HR questions. This position handles confidential information daily and works closely with the HR team as well as Lensrentals' employees and managers.Essential duties and responsibilitiesRecruiting and onboardingPost open roles, screen applications against minimum requirements, and schedule interviews.Coordinate offer letters, background checks and pre-employment paperwork.Prepare new-hire materials, run orientation logistics, and confirm I-9 and E-Verify completion within required timelines.Records and HR systemsEnter and maintain employee data in ADP with a high degree of accuracyMaintain personnel files in line with record-retention and confidentiality requirementsProcess status changes, transfers, terminations and related documentationRun standard reports as neededEmployee supportAnswer routine questions on policies, benefits enrollment, PTO and payroll timing, escalating complex issuesManage the hr-intake channel, which acts as the HR ticketing systemProcess employment verification requestsAssist with benefits open enrollment and leave-of-absence paperworkPayroll, compliance and programsAssist with timekeeping edits for payroll processing in ADPSupport offboarding, including exit paperwork and equipment returnHelp coordinate engagement events, recognition programs and other HR projects as assignedQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year of HR experienceProficiency with Google WorkspaceProven ability to handle confidential information with discretionPreferredAssociate's or bachelor's degree in HR, business or a related fieldExperience with an HRIS or applicant tracking systemCore competenciesAttention to detail: catches errors in data, forms and documents before they are entered into ADPDiscretion: protects sensitive employee and company informationOrganization: manages multiple deadlines at once without dropping tasksCommunication: communicates clearly and effectively with employees in a way that is approachableBenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision insuranceCompany paid life insurance and short term disabilityPaid Vacation and Sick Leave401k with company matchingCasual work environmentMonday – Friday schedule with paid lunch breaksWorking conditions and physical requirementsWork is performed in a standard office environment.
