HR AssistantFuse builds innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions that improve the sharing of information, video, text, and voice among operators distributed throughout the airborne, maritime, and ground environments. We are a technology firm creating in-house software, network and hardware solutions that support our noble cause of advancing warfighter capabilities with elegant, user-focused communications, networks, and software systems.The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, helping ensure efficient HR processes and a positive employee experience. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and general HR inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.Do you thrive in innovative, design-driven environments with a high level of both accountability and trust? This role in the Operations department will help grow and strengthen our team by providing excellent support in all aspects of human capital and business functions.What you'll do:Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new-hire onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientationsAssist in administration of performance management system (PerformYard)Maintain employee information in HRIS system (Paychex)Manage digital and physical employee personnel files according to policy and legal requirementsAssist with the recruitment process; including posting job openings and scheduling interviewsCompletion of employment verification and unemployment claimsOrganizing historical employee compensation and performance data to be used in performance management and compensation evaluationsHelp lead and provide insight to company engagement efforts regarding surveys and feedbackAssist in planning company events and maintaining a positive and productive culturePerform other administrative duties and special projects as assignedGrow and learn in your career as a human resource professional
