# HR DirectorAmherst, MA 01002; Springfield, MA 01109## OverviewSalary Range$55.00 - $65.00 Hourly## Description:Part - time position 25 hours per weekStavros has been around for over 50 years, has 130 employees and is growing. Our mission is to assist people with disabilities to achieve their dreams.The right candidate will be collaborative, have the right mix of people focus, problem solver, and business acumen to lead through a changing world.This position is part of the leadership team. oversees a Human Resource Generalist, and reports directly to the CEO. This person will manage the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leaves, developing and enforcing company policies and practices.**Specfic duties and responsibilities are as follows:**Provides counsel and leadership to regarding employee relations matters including employee disciplinary situations, internal investigations and terminations.Manages company benefit programs including enrollment, leaves of absence and cost analysis.Responsible for compensation policy and practices including annual wage surveysMaintains compliance with state and federal laws, reviews and updates policies and procedures particularly related to leaves of absence.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies as affects recruiting, retention and employment lawMaintains records of all mandatory and compliance training## Qualifications**Qualifications**Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required and at least (5) Fives of Human Resource management experience preferred.**Required Skills/Abilities:*** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.* Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.* Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
