Traveling Quality InspectorTRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Traveling Quality Inspector based out of Davenport, IA. This part-time, as-needed position is scheduled for 1st shift, with typical hours between 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Regional travel is required with overnight travel as-needed.Overall PurposeThe Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.Reports ToSite ManagerResponsibilities(To include but not limited to the following)Customer Relationship & Business DevelopmentAct as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteriaOperationsPerforms audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for useContains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assembliesRectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team LeaderUses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming materialDetermines the tools and equipment needed to do the jobGrinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipmentOther duties as assignedOrganization & ManagementThis position does not include supervisory responsibilitiesTechnicalMust be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assembliesMust be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assembliesIn proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machineryKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesHard Skills - Values & AttitudesDemonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards. Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access. Global team spirit.
