Job description
Human Resources Assistant – Records ProcessorWork under close supervision of the Compensation Administrator; follow established procedures for processing employment for new hires, exiting employees, leave information and salary adjustments.High school diploma or GEDOne year of clerical experience requiredAbility to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases and word processingAbility to communicate effectivelyProficiency in use of calculator and office machinesEffective organizational, communication and interpersonal skillsProcess and manage onboarding documentation for all new district employees.Assist with extending job offers to paraprofessional and auxiliary staff.Calculate and prepare terms of annual salary based on the district's pay plan schedules for the approval of the Compensation Administrator.Assist in the process and scheduling of leave information for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Disability Leave.Prepare monthly report for the docking of pay for employee absences.Input and setup in the personnel/payroll system demographic, salary / stipend, budget codes and assignment information.Process and calculate final pay information for employees exiting the school district.Prepare and respond to requests from financial institutions regarding verification of employment, as needed.Create and maintain personnel files for paraprofessional and auxiliary staff.Assist in verifying annual salary increases for salary notices.Assist in the annual review of I-9 forms.Assist with the annual collection of non-teaching evaluations.Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follow all district policies and guidelines.Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing during regular business hours to confer with district personnel.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job responsibility unless instructed to work from home by supervisor.Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.Usage of personal equipment, including but not limited to personal cellular phone, personal computer, and personal internet service when working from home during a District closure due to government or Board order or during an emergency affecting normal District operations.Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor. All employees are expected to comply with lawful directives.Works with frequent interruptions; Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Reading; ability to communicate effectively (verbal); ability to operate computer. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
