Schedule: Full-Time Exempt

Compensation: $25 - $28 / hr

SSP America is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who is passionate about supporting people and operations in a fast-paced airport environment. As a trusted HR partner, you will work closely with the Senior People Leader and airport leadership to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, reporting, and HR operations. This role is ideal for an HR professional looking to grow their career while making a meaningful impact on the employee experience and operational success.

What You'll Do

Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead hourly recruitment, coordinate hiring activities with operations leaders, and facilitate compliant new hire onboarding and orientation.

Employee Relations: Support workplace investigations, coach managers on policy and performance matters, assist with documentation, and promote engagement and recognition.

Compliance & HR Administration: Maintain personnel, medical, leave, workers' compensation, and other confidential records while supporting audits, leave administration, accommodations, and corrective action plans.

HR Operations & Reporting: Maintain accurate HRIS records, support payroll-related HR activities, monitor training completion, and prepare recurring HR reports.

Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted HR partner to airport leadership by providing day-to-day guidance, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and reinforcing SSP America's culture, values, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

At least 2 years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration.

Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and confidential recordkeeping.

Strong organizational, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience using HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, Oracle, or similar systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting multi-unit or high-volume operations.

Hospitality, restaurant, retail, distribution, or similar operational experience.

Experience supporting workplace investigations.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or comparable HR certification.

Work Environment & Requirements

This position is based in an airport environment and includes work in both office and restaurant operations. The role requires regular interaction with frontline employees and operational leaders and may require occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or travel based on business needs. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation, including moving throughout airport operations, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, using standard office equipment, and completing all applicable TSA, FAA, or CATSA security requirements.
