Human Resources Director
Compensation: $155,000 - $165,000 annually
Status: Full-Time

We are seeking a strategic, people‑centered, and hands‑on HR leader to serve as our next HR Director (or HR Manager, depending on experience) . This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in mission‑driven environments , understands the unique dynamics of IDD and community‑based services , and is passionate about building strong, supportive, and compliant workforce systems.
As a key member of the organizational leadership team, the HR Director/Manager will strengthen culture, enhance workforce capability, and ensure HR operations run smoothly across all programs and service lines.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership — Support the development and execution of an HR strategy aligned with organizational goals. Lead initiatives that enhance culture, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Workforce Support — Promote inclusion, and belonging across a multifaceted workforce including full‑time, part‑time, and direct‑support staff. Strengthen communication and engagement across varied teams.
Compensation & Benefits Administration — Manage competitive and compliant compensation structures. Oversee day‑to‑day benefits administration and support employees in understanding available offerings.
Talent Acquisition & Development — Lead recruitment efforts, onboarding, and training programs. Partner with managers to support retention, internal mobility, and performance management.
Employee Relations & Engagement — Build a positive, professional work environment through proactive employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and recognition programs.
Regulatory Compliance & Policy Management — Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain policies that uphold ethical conduct, safety, and operational integrity.
HR Operations Leadership — Oversee HRIS administration, personnel files, reporting, learning and development coordination, and day‑to‑day HR workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5–10+ years of progressive HR Leadership experience (nonprofit, IDD, or human services strongly preferred)
Broad expertise across HR disciplines: recruitment, employee relations, compliance, compensation, training, and performance management
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to interpret HR data and metrics to support decision‑making
Experience supporting diverse workforces, including direct‑support professionals, clinical staff, and program teams
