Incredible opportunity to work for a nationally recognized firm out of one of their largest offices in Northern New Jersey. The Human Resources Generalist provides HR support across the firm, assisting with compliance, program and process implementation, working to ensure HR matters are aligned with firm policies and applicable requirements.
This role supports a broad range of HR operations and compliance activities within the firm, including monitoring employment law requirements, maintaining policies, records, labor postings, Form I-9 compliance, required training, and HRIS data. As HR Generalist, you will also assist with benefits administration, employee inquiries, vendor coordination, employee relations documentation, recruiting and payroll, among other things. The position also provides backup support for unemployment claims, recruiting, onboarding, and leave processes, while contributing to audits, reporting, process improvements, and special HR projects.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, leave administration and employee relations, recruiting operations, HRIS processes, and federal and state employment laws.
• ATS/HR technology systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
