HR Internship PositionThis HR internship position offers a hybrid model with a mix of on-site at the Ruan Center located downtown Des Moines and remote work. This opportunity is available to start in Spring 2027 and continue through Summer 2027. Great opportunity to work with an experienced team of recruiters hiring for a wide variety of positions / locations and play a role in enhancing the candidate experience!The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly. Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Duties may include assisting in the preparation of reports and presentation material 25%Provide day-to-day business activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs 25%Fully support financial business case analysis 25%Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance. 20%Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. 5%Education: Some College Courses Preferred Course(s) of Study: Supply Chain, Logistics, Human Resources, ITExperience: noneType of Experience:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.Effective project management skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
