Job description
An international manufacturer of automotive interior components is seeking a motivated Human Resources Manager to join their facility near Oak Grove, KY. The ideal candidate will have proven HR leadership experience in the Automotive Manufacturing industry. This is a direct-hire, on-site position, and offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.
Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities:
Set Human Resources function in line with company goals by effectively sourcing, training, and developing a subordinate staff to carry out department objectives
Provide direction to Human Resources team, with a focus on efficiency, quality, safety, and plant morale
Oversee recruiting functions such as conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, and managing new hire onboarding
Research and keep up-to-date on industry trends and market compensation rates
Ensure company compliance with all local, state, and federal employment regulations
Analysis and improvement of company processes regarding benefits and compensation structures, employee relations, safety and health / wellness programs, etc.
Provide mentorship and support to HR employees
General HR office management and oversight of administrative staff
Other duties as assigned
Human Resources Specialist Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of experience with Human Resources Generalist duties, focused on conflict resolution, workplace investigations, employee relations is required, preferably in an Automotive or other Manufacturing environment
Four-year Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant field, or combination of education and comparable work experience
Strong ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in a multicultural work environment
Knowledge of applicable HR policies, regulations programs, procedures for an industrial/manufacturing environment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and adapt to pressure effectively in a high-volume production environment
HR Certifications in PHR or SPHR preferred
Ability to create and deliver presentations to large groups
Positive attitude with a strong attention to detail
This position is in a manufacturing/office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
