LutheranSocialServicesofWI&UpperMIisseekingaHumanServiceProfessional tojoinourteamatGainingGround , a resource center dedicated to providing a safe, stigma-free environment for individuals living with mental illness and those experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused services thathelpindividualsgainstabilityandbecomeactivemembersofthecommunity.
If you have experience supporting individuals in crisis - including those navigating homelessness, mental health challenges, or the criminal justice system - we strongly encourage you to apply.
WhatYou’llDo
Inthisrole,youwillprovideprofessionalhumanservicestoindividualsandgroupsacrossavarietyofsettings,includingcommunitylocations,shelters,jails,offices,andschools. Servicesmaybe delivered in person or through audio/visual platforms.
Yourworkmayinclude:
AssistancewithSocialSecurity,IDs,employment,andhousingapplications
Mentalhealthcoordination&recoverysupport
Lifeskills,copingskills,andbudgetingsupport
Medicationmanagementassistance
Educationcoordination(GED,technicalcollege)
ComprehensiveCommunityServices(CCS)support
You'llcollaboratewithclientsandserviceteams,maintainaccuratedocumentation,applyevidence-basedpractices,andhelpindividualsbuildindependenceandstability.
WhatWe'reLookingFor
Education: Bachelor's degree in a human services related field is required (examples include Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Sociology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, and others). Degrees not listed may require transcript review.
