HVAC and Plumbing Dispatcher – Lead Service Logistics for John Owens Services Inc.Job Overview:Company: John Owens Services Inc.Salary/Pay Rate: $34 - $50 per hourLocation: Petaluma, CAJob/Employment Type: Full TimeProject Scope: ResidentialMandatory Licences & Certifications: None RequiredThe Opportunity:You will serve as the central quarterback for our service department, orchestrating daily field logistics to optimize workforce efficiency and drive business performance. Operating in a high-impact role, you will balance real-time problem-solving with strategic scheduling to maximize customer satisfaction. This position gives you the platform to lead daily operations with the backing of an established, supportive organization.How You Will Make an Impact:Execute quick, logical dispatch decisions using modern CRM technology to optimize field routing.Pair the right field technician to the appropriate job with required materials on every call.Foster strong collaborative relationships between customer service representatives, installation teams, and field technicians.Resolve customer concerns and de-escalate challenging situations with calm professionalism.Drive the service division toward reaching key daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets.Apply company standards and procedural guidelines while adapting to ongoing leadership coaching.Required Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 3 years experience as a Dispatcher (any industry)Proven experience dispatching in a fast-paced residential service or field trade environment.Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage fluid, high-volume operational changes.Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to manage diverse client and technician personalities.Proficiency using field service management CRM software and scheduling tools.Preferred Qualifications & Experience:3 or more years of dedicated experience as an HVAC or plumbing dispatcher.Associate Degree or equivalent professional training.In-depth operational knowledge of residential HVAC and plumbing service workflows.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly wage ($34-$50/hr) and overtime opportunities.Bi-weekly pay cycle and 401(k) retirement savings program with employer matching.Comprehensive health insurance package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability options.Generous paid time off covering vacation, sick leave, and company holidays.Ongoing professional development through paid technical, organizational, and leadership training.About Us:John Owens Services Inc. has provided honest, high-quality residential services for 40 years without gimmicks or high-pressure sales.
