This position is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, processing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting branch operations.The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & SalesGreet customers promptly and provide exceptional service at the sales counter.Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and technical information.Process sales orders, quotes, returns, and exchanges accurately.Build strong relationships with contractors and service technicians to promote repeat business.Recommend additional products and solutions that meet customer needs.Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.Order ManagementEnter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.Coordinate special orders and communicate delivery timelines.Follow up on open orders and keep customers informed of order status.Assist with warranty claims and product returns when necessary.Inventory & Warehouse SupportPull and stage customer orders for pickup.Receive, stock, and organize inventory.Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.Maintain showroom displays and product merchandising.Ensure products are properly labeled and stocked.Branch OperationsSupport branch goals by promoting teamwork and operational excellence.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Attend training sessions and stay current on HVAC products, technologies, and industry trends.Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale or order-entry systems.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.PreferredHVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or wholesale distribution experience.HVAC/R product knowledge.Counter sales, inside sales, or customer service experience.Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.What We OfferBenefitsBlue Cross Blue Shield Health InsuranceDental, Vision, and Ancillary BenefitsEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceEmployer-Paid Long-Term DisabilityPaid HolidaysPaid Vacation and Sick Time401(k) with Company MatchJohnstone University Online and Instructor-Led TrainingCareer Advancement OpportunitiesWhy Join Us?At Johnstone Supply | The Huestis-Meyers Group, we believe in creating an environment where people win.
