Job Overview W J Bachman Mechanical Sheetmetal Co. of FL Inc. is hiring HVAC Laborers to support our commercial HVAC installation teams on large-scale construction projects. This role is essential to keeping projects on schedule and ensuring our skilled tradespeople have the tools, materials, and support needed to deliver high-quality mechanical systems.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Assist HVAC mechanics and foremen with installation and jobsite support
Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cutting, fastening, sealing, and assembling components
Support installation of ductwork, piping, and other mechanical systems
Load, unload, and stage materials as needed for daily operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite environment
Follow instructions, project schedules, and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow efficiency
Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times
Qualifications Experience: 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or mechanical trades preferred
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong willingness to learn HVAC systems and mechanical installation processes
Teamwork: Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
Certifications: OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
A professional review will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws

Work Schedule Full-Time
Monday - Friday
Overtime and weekend work as required based on project demands
Work Location Primarily on-site at commercial project locations throughout Tampa, FL and surrounding areas
