Midwest Plumbing LLC is looking for an experienced and motivated HVAC Lead Technician to join our team and to play a major role in the growth of our HVAC operation. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, self starter who takes pride in their work, enjoys leading a team, and is reading to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
What You'll Be Responsible For You will have a hands-on leadership role covering both HVAC installation and service , including:
Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installation and service projects
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
Lead and support installers, technicians, and apprentices
Plan ahead to ensure jobs are organized, efficient, and properly equipped
Review plans, equipment requirements, and job specifications
Complete equipment startups and system commissioning
Coordinate with builders, homeowners, inspectors, subcontractors, and management
Train and mentor less-experienced team members
Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and workmanship
Communicate clearly and proactively to keep projects moving forward
Who We're Looking For an experienced HVAC professional with strong installation and service knowledge
A self starter and leader who takes initiative and can make decisions in the field
Ambitious and motivated to grow within a company
Residential new construction experience
Organized, dependable, and structured in their approach to work
HVAC service experience
Knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, controls, thermostats, ventilation, and duct systems
Understanding of refrigeration, electrical systems, airflow, and equipment operation
Ability to read plans and specifications
Comfortable working independently while being part of a team
Strong communication skills
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
EPA 608 Certification preferred
