Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Specialist to support operations at an advanced investment casting facility . This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial HVAC systems to ensure reliable facility performance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment , electrical troubleshooting , and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain large rooftop units (RTUs) including compressors, economizers, VFDs, and control systems .
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on chilled water systems , including chillers, pumps, air handlers, coils, and valves .
Conduct system testing using multimeters, gauges, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools to evaluate performance.
Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection , and maintain compliance documentation.
Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for RTUs, chillers, cooling towers, and mechanical equipment .
Inspect ductwork, rooftop curbs, mechanical seals , and HVAC infrastructure.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation systems while identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tools.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems , preferably in manufacturing environments.
Required State HVAC License/Class A Certification (Florida Class A preferred).
Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, temperature/humidity systems, electrical schematics, and automation troubleshooting .
Experience with AAON or Trane equipment is a plus.
Proficiency in preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and equipment diagnostics .
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate in a safety-focused environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
