Job description
HVAC Operating EngineerServing at UCLA Health will give you the opportunity to use your specialized abilities to help improve the lives of our patients, their families, and your fellow UCLA Health team members. You'll provide critical support that makes healing happen. We'd love to have you join us.Under the general direction of the Senior Superintendent, perform the full range of journey level functions of a HVAC Operating Engineer in the Resnick Mental Campus located in the Los Angeles Mil-Wilshire District. Buildings include an all-electric inpatient psychiatric hospital, an outpatient medical office building and a parking structure. Job duties include maintenance and repair of building equipment and infrastructure including HVAC equipment, emergency generators, sewer vacuum equipment, medical air and vacuum equipment, kitchen equipment, refrigerators, heat-recovery chillers, and more. Included in this job is documentation of preventative maintenance and engineering rounds critical to maintaining hospital license accreditation. Job requires working among patients, staff and visitors. Ability to maintain a level of professionalism a must. Additionally, incumbent may be assigned to alternate work schedules, including weekends.Salary rate: $52.26
