Classic Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Replacement Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled lead retrofit installer with experience replacing and installing commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The successful candidate will have expertise working with rooftop units, split systems, VAV systems, air-cooled chillers, and exhaust equipment, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:
/n
/n
- Install, replace, and retrofit commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including:
/n
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
/n
- Split Systems
/n
- VAV Systems
/n
- Air-Cooled Chillers
/n
- Exhaust and Ventilation Equipment
/n
- Perform equipment change-outs and system upgrades in accordance with project specifications
/n
- Complete copper brazing, piping modifications, and equipment reconnections
/n
- Install and reconnect fiberglass ductwork and sheet metal components
/n
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and project specifications
/n
- Assist with startup and operational testing of newly installed equipment
/n
- Troubleshoot basic electrical and control circuits related to HVAC equipment
/n
- Maintain compliance with local HVAC codes and safety standards
/n
- Communicate effectively with service manager, team members, and customers
/n
- Maintain punctual attendance and reliable jobsite performance
/n
- Work overtime as required to meet project deadlines
/n

What You’ll Bring:
/n
/n
- High School Diploma or GED required
/n
- EPA (CFC) Certification required
/n
- Completion of an HVAC installation training program, journeyman license, or equivalent commercial/industrial HVAC experience
/n
- Minimum of 5–7 years of commercial HVAC installation and retrofit experience
/n
- Strong experience with commercial rooftop units and split systems up to 50 tons
/n
- Proficiency in copper brazing and HVAC equipment replacement projects
/n
- Knowledge of sheet metal and fiberglass duct installation
/n
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
/n
- Familiarity with HVAC controls and building automation systems (BAS) preferred
/n
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
/n
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
/n
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
/n

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to routinely sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
/n
- Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and elevated work areas
/n
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
/n
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and commercial jobsite environments
/n
- Physically capable of performing all duties associated with HVAC equipment installation and replacement
