Job Description Job Description The HVAC R Technician is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Working primarily as a solo technician with local travel, this role demands strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, solid customer communication, and thorough documentation of all work performed. The technician will handle a variety of systems to ensure optimal function and reliability.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on HVACR systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

Repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment

Document service reports and maintain accurate records

Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information clearly

Use specialized tools and equipment proficiently

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in HVACR

Technical certificate in HVACR or related field

EPA Refrigerant Certification

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills

In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles

Effective customer communication abilities

Proficiency with HVACR tools and equipment

Strong problem-solving and time management skills
