Job Description Job Description HVAC Technician Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
HVAC certification or technical school training preferred.
EPA Section 608 certification required.
3-5 years of HVAC service experience preferred.
Residential and/or commercial HVAC experience.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of electrical components, wiring, motors, capacitors, relays, contactors, and control boards.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment specifications.
Experience checking refrigerant pressures, leak detection, evacuation, and refrigerant charging.
Knowledge of condensate drains, drain pans, float switches, and overflow protection.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
Ability to safely use HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
VRV/VRF system experience is a plus.
Garage HVAC/refrigeration experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, tight spaces, and in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to accurately document repairs, findings, and parts used.
Ability to follow safety procedures, company policies, and applicable HVAC codes.
Dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
