Job description
HVAC Sheet Metal FabricatorWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to manufacture HVAC ductwork and related components in a fabrication shop environment. This role focuses on precision layout, cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal products according to drawings and specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate HVAC ductwork, fittings, and accessories per shop drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and take-offsLay out, cut, form, and assemble sheet metal using shop equipmentOperate and maintain equipment such as brakes, shears, plasma tables, rollers, and seamersProduce rectangular, spiral, round, and lined duct systemsEnsure ductwork meets SMACNA standards and company quality requirementsLabel, stage, and prepare materials for field installation and deliveryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication shopIdentify fabrication issues and coordinate with project managers or field supervisorsTrack production output and meet job schedules and deadlinesQualifications & Experience2+ years of HVAC sheet metal fabrication experience (commercial preferred)Ability to read shop drawings and duct layoutsExperience working with galvanized, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet metalProficiency with shop tools and fabrication machineryKnowledge of SMACNA standards and fabrication methodsStrong attention to detail and workmanship qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksManual dexterity for precision layout and fabricationPreferred (Not Required)SMACNA certification or formal sheet metal apprenticeshipExperience with plasma tables or CNC fabrication equipmentForklift certificationCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay ranges from $20 - $36+ an hour depending on experiencePaid HolidaysPaid Vacation TimePaid Sick Time401K401K Profit ShareHealth InsuranceOptional Supplemental InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsIn-house Training Program (Earn while you learn)
