Help customers create safer, healthier, and more comfortable homes. At American Services, our HVAC Technicians are trusted solutions providers. You will diagnose, service, maintain, and install HVAC systems while educating customers about options that may improve comfort, indoor air quality, water quality, and home protection. Our approach is consultative and education-focused. We provide clear information without pressure so each customer can choose what best fits their home, needs, and lifestyle.
What You'll Do
Customer Education and Solutions
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about HVAC systems, indoor air quality, plumbing-related needs, and water quality solutions.
Explain available products and services in a helpful, no-pressure manner.
Present practical options that support a safe, healthy, and comfortable home.
Answer customer questions and help customers understand recommended next steps.
HVAC Service, Installation, and Maintenance
Perform professional and timely HVAC service, maintenance, and installation work.
Complete each job with attention to workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and customer care.
Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
Apply company identification stickers to customer valves, HVAC equipment, and water heaters when appropriate.
Daily Operations and Documentation
Report to leadership at the beginning and end of each workday.
Complete work orders accurately, including before-and-after photos and a thorough summary of the work performed.
Update the Service Planner notebook daily for every assigned work order, whether completed or not.
Follow up on quotes and reconnect with customers to answer questions or assist with next steps.
Use assigned tracking phone numbers for callbacks and follow-up communication.
Team and Professional Standards
Arrive on time, presentable, prepared, and ready to serve each customer.
Participate in the on-call rotation and follow all on-call procedures.
Collaborate with teammates and contribute to a positive, accountable work environment.
Take ownership of responsibilities and communicate promptly when support is needed.
Performance Expectations
Work toward average commission revenue of $1,500 per day or $7,500 per week.
Work toward an average call value of approximately $650 per job.
Earn a minimum of one Google customer review per week through excellent service and a positive customer experience.
Track personal commission dollars, bonuses, and spiffs, and compare records with leadership reporting.
Continuous Learning and Career Growth
Stay current on HVAC technologies, products, services, and industry best practices.
Build knowledge across indoor air quality, water quality, plumbing-related solutions, and whole-home comfort.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing training, skill development, and career advancement.
