Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Apprentice or Journeyman HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Technician to service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in healthcare, educational, commercial, and government facilities. Reporting to a TAB supervisor, this role performs airflow and water flow balancing, system testing, equipment measurements, HVAC adjustments, and site documentation using tablet-based applications and company-specific software. Overnight travel and occasional extended assignments are required, with an advancement path from apprentice to journeyman.
Responsibilities
Balance airflow and water flow in new and existing HVAC systems.
Test systems and measure equipment data, including RPM, volts, amps, air and water temperatures, and air and water pressures.
Adjust HVAC systems to achieve required air and water flows.
Replace belts, pulleys, and filters.
Mark up mechanical plans and interpret system documentation.
Document site activities and TAB results using tablet-based applications and company-specific software.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Travel overnight and support occasional extended assignments.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Entry-level experience in HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing.
Experience with HVAC testing and balancing.
Blueprint reading and mechanical plan interpretation skills.
Microsoft Excel experience.
Problem-solving skills.
Technical documentation experience.
