nJob Summary:
nThe Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting in identifying learning and development needs for clinical staff. Assesses competencies, need for additional training and education, and develops and delivers educational programs to address issues.
nEssential Functions:
nnnAssists in identifying learning and development needs of staff using various data collection methods: questionnaires, chart review, focus groups. Based on findings, recommends education programs.
n
nnProvides orientation to clinical staff and monitors effectiveness through competency tasks.
n
nnAssists clinical staff with transition from new hire to job assignment using problem resolution and guided learning.
n
nnProvides feedback to Clinical Leadership on new hire clinical staff based on evaluation of documentation and management of current caseload.
n
nnEvaluates clinical staff performance in the field using field visit tool.
n
nnAssists in the development, implementation, and updating of clinical policies and procedures to improve the quality of nursing practice and care management.
n
nnDevelop and updates modules for clinical staff.
n
nnConducts, develops and tracks Educational In-services for ElderServe Health Staff.
n
nnParticipates in the Quality Improvement Programs; collaborates in setting standards of care and monitors effectiveness.
n
nnRemains current on new developments by reading professional journals, attending professional seminars, and participating in professional associations etc.
n
nnPerform any other job related duties as requested.
n
n nEducation and Experience:
nnnBachelor's degree required
n
nnMaster's degree preferred
n
nnEquivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
n
nnThree (3) years experience working in an acute care setting required
n
nnStaff Development or adult instruction experience preferred
n
nnprevious experience working in home care setting preferred
n
n nCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills:
nnnEfficient with MS Office products
n
nnAbility to translate staff needs into a variety of learning and performance improvement strategies
n
nnExcellent written and verbal communications skills
n
nnKnowledge of Department of Health and MLTC standards for home care
n
nnKnowledge of Uniform Assessment New York (UAS-NY)
n
nnKnowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
n
nnAbility to create, evaluate and present department, role-focused materials across topics with excellent public speaking skills
n
nnAbility to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
n
nnListening and critical thinking skills

n nCompensation Range:
n$72,200.00 - $115,500.00

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
