Job description
Hydrovac OperatorTelecon is looking for a Hydrovac Operator to join our growing Civil Construction Team operating a Super Vac. This role is based out of our yard in Portland, Oregon and surrounding area.Working under the site supervisor, the Hydrovac Operator will assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses to support the project construction team. They will also be responsible for driving various types of vehicles and trucks to transport equipment to project sites.This is a full-time position which includes weekly pay, benefits, 401K matching as well as opportunities for growth!You will be required to:Operate the Hydrovac truck while also maintaining the vehicleTransport cargo and/or equipment in a safe mannerComplete the daily maintenance programs as per equipment specificationsUse various equipment to move and install material according to project plansComplete Driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reportsThis role is for you if you have the following skills and qualities:At least 2 years of experience operating a Hydrovac truck, preferably for a fiber or utilities companyA valid CDL with tanker endorsementFully trained in the operations and maintenance of the truck and comfortable trouble shooting and minor repairs in the fieldComfortable around underground utility servicesGood communication skills with the ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencingMust be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and have no prior positive drug or alcohol tests, meeting all DOT requirementsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsFamiliarity with DOT requirementsIs this you?
