Job description
Position: IAM Subject Matter Expert
Location: Suitland, MD – Hybrid
Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary:
We are seeking a senior Identity and Directory Management Services (IDMS) SME to lead enterprise IAM architecture, integration, and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, MFA, federation, and Zero Trust security, with experience supporting enterprise and mobile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and modernize enterprise IAM and directory-service solutions.
Implement SSO, MFA, federation, RBAC, and identity lifecycle management.
Integrate Entra ID with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and mobile devices.
Support Conditional Access, device identity, PKI, and Zero Trust security controls.
Troubleshoot complex authentication and authorization issues.
Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and integration standards.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in IAM, identity engineering, directory services, or cybersecurity.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
Direct administration experience with at least one of the following:
Microsoft Intune
VMware Workspace ONE
SOTI MobiControl
Knowledge of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, SSO, and MFA.
Experience with identity federation, cloud integration, and Zero Trust architecture.
Understanding of NIST controls and federal cybersecurity requirements.
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Okta, NetIQ/OpenText Identity Manager, PIV/CAC, or federal PKI.
Familiarity with Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.
Relevant IAM, Microsoft Identity, or cybersecurity certifications.
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on IAM architect with strong Active Directory, Entra ID, and UEM administration experience who can lead identity modernization in a federal environment.
