Special Inspector PositionBraun Intertec is seeking ICC certified Special Inspectors to join our San Antonio, Texas office. In this role, you will perform special inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, structural steel, and bolting, as well as conduct materials testing across a diverse range of industrial, commercial, and transportation construction projects throughout the region.This position offers advanced technical training and opportunities to obtain additional industry certifications. It is an excellent career opportunity to join a highly successful, fast-paced team within a 100% employee-owned company, supported by a strong and steadily growing portfolio of projects.Sign on bonus up to $5,000.00Responsibilities:Perform routine & complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphaltPerform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperaturePerform field density tests of soilsPrepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic formatWork with project managers and senior technicians or staff to ensure specifications are followedAssist with training & mentoring of junior staff, as neededQualifications:ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils SI Certification requiredACI Concrete Field-Testing Certification RequiredState DOT certifications, and/or NICET certificationsA High School diploma or equivalentA valid driver's licenseA strong safety focus and attention to detailExcellent plan reading skillsA demonstrated math and technical aptitudeFlexibility to work extended or non-traditional hours as neededExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to lift 75+ poundsComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlAt times, this position may be working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenchesCompensation Range:$55,000.00 - $82,000.00As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.Braun Intertec strives to ensure that its careers web site is accessible to all.
