(Intertek-PSI) team in Tukwila, Washington. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.What are we looking for?The ICC Special Inspector is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision.Salary & Benefits Information:The base wage or salary range for this position is $30 p/h - $50 p/h. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, certifications, and other job-related reasons. Relocation assistance will be provided.In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.What you'll do:Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing and provide an assessment of data through reportingUtilize drawings, specifications and diagramsRead and interpret plans and specificationsUse specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignmentsMake detailed observations, give interpretation of results, maintain detailed documentation and data from test resultsCommunicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetingsMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:2 years' related inspection experienceICC certificationsValid driver's license and reliable driving recordAbility to work off shifts and overtimeAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communicationAbility to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in soundAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperaturesAbility to climb occasionally, and work at various heightsPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentICC certifications in the following areas: Reinforced Concrete, Post Tensioned Concrete, Structural Masonry, and/or Structural Steel and BoltingIntertek: Total Quality.
