Ice Cream Freezer Operator, PM, Dairy - LakelandLocation: Lakeland, FLJob DescriptionAssisting with set up of production lineAssisting with monitoring and adjustment of sauces and ingredients usage as needed for each productMonitoring ingredient and sauce distribution and appearance in cartonsPerforming scrapes, tasting and checking every 15 minutes on cartonsAssisting other freezer operators with monitoring the production line for problemsCleaning and sanitizing equipmentPerforming preventative maintenance on equipmentInteracting with staff, associates and regulatory personnelPerforming all team assignmentsMaintaining housekeepingOther duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldMust demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Must demonstrate safe working habitsMust be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequentlyMust obtain license and operate forkliftMust be able to learn and perform all positionsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hoursMust have excellent attendance and punctualityMust have excellent safety work habitsMust be willing to assist other team members in other areasMust be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of timeMust be able to work efficiently with little or no supervisionMust be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsMust possess basic math skillsMust be able to communicate effectivelyMust show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work andMust show a commitment to Publix and our mission.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Ice Cream production operation,Be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented,Have a thorough knowledge of the HACCP program,Have basic computer skills and be able to learn new software,Experience with touch screen control systems andPerform sensory evaluation of products and ingredients.Hours of Work1:00PM - 11:30 PM; Varying daysWork EnvironmentTemperatures range from 30 to 35 degrees. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
