Job description
The Hop Ice Cream is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team at the iconic S&W Market in the heart of downtown Asheville. This part-time position is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a small team serving handcrafted ice cream with heart.
Weekend availability is a priority!
Pay:
lowest amount of credit card tips included in pay but can be an additional $10 per hour + cash tips. We offer a very flexible schedule, great working environment, and of course, free ice cream!
Responsibilities
Provide warm, welcoming, and efficient customer service
Scoop and serve ice cream and other menu items accurately and enthusiastically
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card transactions
Restock supplies and keep display freezer neat and presentable
Open and/or close the shop, often working independently
Communicate clearly with coworkers and management
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older to work at this location
Must be able to regularly lift up to 20 lbs and physically scoop ice cream throughout shifts
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Comfortable working solo or as part of a small team
Open-minded, respectful, and inclusive; must be able to work respectfully with a diverse team and serve a diverse customer base
Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus, but not required!
