Overview
ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center are seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine Hospitalist (new graduates considered) to join their established hospitalist service at a 974‑bed Level 1 trauma center. The hospitalist service is part of a growing 9‑hospital, physician‑led health system with 42 physicians and 32 advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities
Rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults on the hospitalist service
No ICU responsibilities (closed ICUs)
No required procedures
Use of EPIC EMR
Moonlighting opportunities at 9 hospital sites
Opportunities for teaching, quality improvement, and leadership development
Schedule & Work Environment
7 on / 7 off schedule, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. (Tuesday–Monday)
No call
Average patient volume per provider: 16–18
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine
New graduates considered
Employment by ECU Health Physicians
Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center
Work with a team inclusive of 42 physicians and 32 advanced practice providers
