Job description
Imagery Scientist - Expert Level (5) (18+ years experience) - NGA Springfield, VA
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
Clearance Level - TS/SCI
CI Poly Required immediately after starting
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products
Experience with SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox
Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint)
Experience exploiting SAR to determining the occurrence and location of an OOI
Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR
Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods
Desired Qualifications
Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery
