Overview
Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community. This part-time position (4 to 40 hours per week-afternoons, evenings and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr) and participation in our 401K plan! Great entry level positon and resume builder for someone looking to start their career in Special Education!
IMMEDIATE OPENINGS IN THE BALTIMORE COUNTY AREA!
-16 year old female needs an instructor Mon, Tue, Thur and Friday 2:30pm-5:00pm and Wednesday 12:30pm-5:30pm in Cockeysville
-18 year old male needs an instructor for a flexible 3-4 hour shift every other Saturday and/or Sunday in Phoenix
-16 year old male needs an instructor Saturday and/or Sunday in Cockeysville
Responsibilities
As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis

Qualifications
Requirements: Meet the minimum age requirement of 18
Eligibility to work in the United States.
The ability to pass a background check.
Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance
Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
