About the Role:
Trash Gremlin Disposal & Gremlin Mover is looking for a sharp, driven In-House Counsel to join our growing team in Lakehills, TX. This is a unique opportunity to be the legal backbone of a dynamic company operating in both the disposal and moving industries. Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, service agreements, and vendor agreements
Provide day-to-day legal guidance to leadership and operations teams
Ensure regulatory compliance across disposal, waste management, and moving service operations
Manage and coordinate outside counsel on litigation and specialized legal matters
Oversee risk management strategies and liability mitigation efforts
Support HR with employment law matters, policies, and workplace compliance
Monitor changes in local, state, and federal laws affecting the business
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the State of Texas (Texas Bar membership required)
3+ years of legal experience, in-house or private practice
Experience in commercial contracts, business law, or regulatory compliance preferred
Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or waste management regulations is a plus
Strong communication and negotiation skills with a practical, business-minded approach
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
