Job description
IND COS Cell AssemblerThe IND COS Cell Assembler will ensure parts that are produced meet specifications and quality standards. The assembler will operate the heat seal and hand burn the buttons with a hand torch to complete the job and will work closely with supervisor to accomplish production demands.Responsible for:Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructionsIdentifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnelControlling nonconforming productsSupporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actionsResponsible for day-to-day housekeeping of the surrounding production floor area.Run cells through the heat seal machineLeak test cellBond the post to the cover bushing using a burning ring and a hand held torch.Skid cells into a tub or a skid (depending on where they are going).Connect the cells into a circuit so they can go to the next operation of forming.Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.Ability to work efficiently and in a fast-paced environment; self-motivation to effectively troubleshoot; strong communication skills with co-workers, supervision, and management; ability to take ownership, have integrity, determination, perseverance, and flexibility; strong team member skillsMust be 18 years of ageExperience with safety and environmental trainingMinimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced settingBasic math and computer skillsAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and managementThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear.
