In this role, you'll partner with Marketing, Legal, Product Compliance, and Product to identify regulatory risk, establish appropriate standards and controls, and ensure customer communications comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You'll serve as a subject-matter expert for marketing compliance, helping the business identify risk early while enabling compliant, effective marketing across channels.

What You'll Do

Serve as a subject-matter expert for Marketing Compliance, providing independent oversight and guidance across the Bank's marketing program

As needed, review and approve marketing materials across email, web, digital advertising, landing pages, social media, direct mail, and other customer communications, ensuring required disclosures, disclaimers, and terms are clear and accurate

Maintain the Bank's marketing and communications guide, including approved disclosures, and partner with Legal and Product Compliance to develop new guidance as requirements evolve

Assess regulatory risks and controls across marketing processes and campaigns, partnering with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Risk to identify issues early and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies

Maintain and improve automated systems that support marketing asset reviews, using AI where appropriate to efficiently review content, identify potential compliance concerns, and keep guidance current while maintaining appropriate human oversight

Stay current on regulatory developments affecting marketing and advertising in financial services and support internal audits and regulatory examinations related to marketing practices

About You

4+ years of experience in marketing compliance, consumer protection, or financial services compliance

Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong working knowledge of consumer protection requirements including ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, CAN-SPAM, and Fair Lending regulations, and the controls needed to mitigate related risks

Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and delivering high-quality results across competing priorities, aggressive timelines, and evolving requirements

Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner effectively across Marketing, Legal, Product, Risk, and other business teams

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify compliance risks and apply sound judgment in fast-moving marketing environments

You take ownership of your work and proactively identify and escalate compliance risks before they become larger issues

You're organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly understand how business objectives, customer communications, and evolving regulatory requirements intersect

You actively look for ways AI can improve how you review marketing content and assess compliance risk, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy, data sensitivity, regulatory requirements, and where human judgment and validation are needed

Nice to Have

Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar professional certification

Experience supporting regulatory examinations and compliance audits, including developing and tracking corrective actions

Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other Microsoft Office tools
