Independent Contractor Opportunity – In-Home Furniture Repair TechnicianAre you an experienced furniture repair technician looking for flexible, independent work? We are seeking a skilled Independent Contractor – In-Home Furniture Repair Technician to provide repair and inspection services for customers in their homes.Position OverviewAs an Independent Contractor, you will represent our commitment to customer satisfaction by inspecting, evaluating, and repairing furniture products at customers' residences. You will manage your own schedule within assigned service areas and provide professional, high-quality repair services.ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair furniture merchandise in customers' homes.Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.Complete required service documentation, including digital photographs and repair notes.Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and repair supplies.Safely handle and move furniture as needed during repairs.Communicate repair status and service outcomes promptly.Maintain compliance with all company service standards and customer care expectations.QualificationsExperience with furniture repair, upholstery repair, wood repair, furniture assembly, or related trades required.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently.Ability to lift and move furniture weighing approximately 50–100 pounds.Smartphone or tablet capable of submitting digital photos and service documentation.Contractor RequirementsThis is an independent contractor position and not an employee role. Contractors must:Maintain their own business entity or operate as a sole proprietor.Provide proof of general liability insurance.Supply their own tools and equipment necessary to perform repairs.Be responsible for their own taxes and business expenses.Comply with all company confidentiality and customer information requirements.Work EnvironmentCustomer residencesTravel within assigned service territoryOccasional warehouse visits for parts pickupInterested contractors should submit their business and information, qualifications.
