Industrial Assembly & Shipping AssistantB-TEK Scales, LLC. | Canton, OH | Full Time | Hourly | Night Shift: M-Th, 8 PM - 6 AM | $18 - $22/HourWe are a manufacturer of high-capacity truck, rail, floor, and bench scales for the weighing industry in Canton, Ohio.Job SummaryWe are seeking more Shipping and Assembly Assistants to join our team. In this position, you are responsible to assist and train in the assembly and loading of large truck and equipment scales. You should have experience with overhead crane operation and order assembly. A background in steel manufacturing or shipping and receiving is beneficial.Job ResponsibilitiesReview schematics to ensure you have the proper equipment and materialsReview orders and pickers to ensure parts are picked for the appropriate jobOperate overhead cranes to assist in loading of piecesAssemble the scale components to the bridge as required by the work orderCheck that parts and assemblies are picked to order, logged, and loaded accordinglyDo banding, wrapping, and packaging as required for orderFollow all safety protocols and clean up your workspace upon completionMinimum Job Requirements3 years of shop experience, weld and fab shop preferredOverhead crane and tow motor operationExperience reading orders or schematics preferredAble to bend, lift, sit, and stand for 8 to 12 hours/dayAble to work from a ladder or at heights as neededUse of hand tools as needed, some mechanical aptitude requiredAble to lift 60 poundsCompensation and BenefitsHourly pay401k w/ 3% company contributionMedical, dental, visionPaid holidaysProfit sharing, etc.Brechbuhler Scales, Inc. and B-TEK Scales, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer.
